red dead redemption game of the year
Fans were not very happy when Rockstar Games launched a barebones port of Red Dead Redemption 1 on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 recently. While the Switch version ran at a respective 1080p 30 fps when docked and 720p 30 fps undocked, the PS4 version was a real disappointment.
The PlayStation 4 version of Red Dead Redemptions ran at 4K 30fps on the PS4 Pro and PlayStation 4. But fans were not very happy about Rockstar games not even trying to make that game run 60 fps on PS5, but that might have changed just now.
Rockstar Games finally brings a 4K 60 fps mode to Red Dead Redemption on PlayStation 5
The version PlayStation owners got was a port of the Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year edition. It comes with the base game and that awesome Undead Nightmare DLC pack. But what’s the point of buying the game on a PlayStation 5 if it runs at 4K 30?

Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year is more than 10 years old and deserves better treatment on modern consoles. Maybe Rockstar Games has finally caught onto it and introduced a 60 FPS mode to it when played on the PlayStation 5.

We wonder if Rockstar Games will decide to introduce a similar mode for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS5. This was the first question we had when we saw this recent news.
Here’s hoping the sequel follows in the footsteps of Red Dead Redemption by getting a brand new gameplay mode. Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS5 at 60 FPS would be a sight to behold.
