This makes us wonder: Is this game too easy? Or are these platinum trophies too easy to get? If they are, is it fair to people who enjoy games at their hardest and do not have any incentive for it?
Some would say trophies should not be the focus of a gamer while playing a game. Then why does the developer have to make sure that everyone gets platinum? We have no doubt that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be a winner in many ways, but it really betrays those who take their time and test their skills playing it while expecting a challenge.
I guess the time when Trophies were a showcase of one’s dedication to a video game is no more. Now we have video game developers handing out platinum trophies, like participation trophies.
