It looks like a huge announcement is being prepared, and it will bring one of the most popular JRPG franchises back to the market. Yes, after the ground-breaking success of their last game, it appears producer Yosuko Saito is teasing the Dragon Quest XII announcement.
This could be a new game or even a modern collection of classic games. We are hoping it’s the former, though, as it’s been a while since the previous game launched, and we really want Dragon Quest XII.
Is producer Yosuke Saito all set to reveal Dragon Quest XII?
Recently, a fan was quick to notice that a longtime Dragon Quest producer, Yosuke Saito who was also a part of Dragon Quest XI had posted a cryptic post on X. In his post, he mentioned:
“I had a fun recording session at work.
Well, it was long lol
If the announcement is okay, I will let you know again”
What session was he recording? Was it some kind of reveal? Well, that’s what all the fans, including us, are hoping for. Some are even speculating that he might be preparing this reveal for an upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 announcement.
This means there’s a slim chance this game or the console will make its way to the fans anytime soon, given that the Nintendo Switch 2 release date is not coming in 2023. Anyways, for now, an announcement would suffice. Just give us what we have been asking for Square Enix; we have tolerated garbage like Forespoken; it is about time we get a good game.

There are very slim chances of that Nintendo Switch 2 announcement happening with the Dragon Quest showcase. Yet one can hope, and let’s not forget that Dragon Quest has been a Nintendo thing for a long time. Even Dragon Quest XI made its way to the Nintendo Switch eventually. So it only makes sense for Dragon Quest XII to do the same!
