Far Cry 7
Far Cry 6 was a very successful game that was pretty moderately successful. Ever since that title launched, fans have wondered if Ubisoft would even follow up with a sequel. It looks like they would. New details have surfaced online about Far Cry 7.
And it looks like Far Cry 7 would be somewhat of a diversion from the usual style of the series.
Everything we know about Far Cry 7
From the recent leak, it has been revealed that Far Cry 7 would yet again have a very dark theme to it but would have a non-linear storyline. This time around, the protagonist will be racing against time to free their kidnapped family!
This would be a very wealthy family that would become the target of a conspiracy group known as ‘Sons of Truth”.
Far Cry 7 would be a timely affair
Inside Gaming also said that Far Cry 7 would have a timer and give players a finite time of 72 hours or 24 hours of real time before they could save the family. This timer would be paused when players entered one of their safehouses, though.
Far Cry 7 would have No Set Sequence
A non-linear storyline means players can choose to save their family members in their own sequence.

And every member would present them with a new story point. But one must save all of them before time runs out.
There are expendables in Far Cry 7
There are some family members that can even die in Far Cry 7, which would then impact the game’s all-over narrative. It looks like players would have to choose who they want to die and who should live.

This is very similar to the game “Rainbow Six Patriots,” which would have given players a similar choice: either save or kill kidnapped hostages to save a greater number of people.
Interrogation mechanics
Far Cry 7 would also feature brand new interrogation mechanics. Players would be able to interrogate NPCs and ask them for details on the location of their family. The captives would not always be cooperative; they could stay quiet and even escape the captivity.
It looks like Ubisoft is going all out with this one, and it’s good; this is exactly what we needed from Far Cry 7, a bit of originality. As for Far Cry 7 release date, it is not yet confirmed but Insider gaming suggests we can expect a low key The Division 3 like announcement any time now.
