This guide will walk you through both ways to complete the Dazed and Confused quest in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

1. Receiving the Quest

To access the Dazed and Confused quest, you must progress through the main story quest and meet Mr. Hands in person.

You’ll receive a call from a fixer who instructs you to locate Lina Malina, a missing actress.

2. The Brainporium

Head to the marker on your map, which is located on the top floor of a shopping complex.
Inside the Brainporium, check the laptop behind the counter for more information about Lina and discover some interesting messages explaining what’s happening downstairs.

3. Meeting Shank and Tool

Proceed downstairs in the Brainporium to encounter two strangers.
Talk to Shank, who will explain what happened to his friend, Tool.

Agree to locate Lina Malina and persuade her to come to the store to help Shank’s business.

4. Choose Your Path

There are two options to proceed: a. Find the keycard to let Tool out. This option saves you time and 10,000 eddies but forfeits the iconic weapon. b. Pay 10,000 eddies to convince Lina to agree to the shoot. This option grants you the iconic weapon but costs you money.

5. Option a: Finding the Keycard

Johnny Silverhand will appear, and you can contact Judy Alvarez or Viktor for help.
Judy advises you to find something personal of Tool’s to help him snap out of it.
Look for a fan letter addressed to Lina on the floor in the cell to the right of where Tool is held.
You still need the key for his cell, which Shank lost near the door while sweeping. Shoot the plant pots near the door to retrieve the keycard.
Return to Tool, open the door, and decide how to handle the situation.
Afterward, call Mr. Hands to complete the job.

6. Option b: Paying Lina

Head to Lina’s home, marked on the map.
Interact with the gangsters at the bottom of the stairs or eliminate them.
Knock on Lina’s door upstairs and wait on the nearby bench.
Discuss the job with Lina and pay her 10,000 eddies to proceed.
If you lack the funds, you can wire the money to her later, but the job won’t progress until you pay her.
Message Shank to inform him of the payment and wait for his instructions.
Once prompted, return to the store, where Lina and Tool are in conflict.

7. Resolution and Reward

Take the director’s chair and choose the dialogue options you prefer to resolve the situation.
Once completed, everyone will be content, and the quest will conclude.
Keep an eye out for a message from Lina, notifying you of a present at the store—a bow-adorned Baby Boomer iconic weapon.
